WELCOME TO
SCHOOLS OF KUNG FU HORSHAM

Please let me introduce myself my names Luca Gaio, I’ve have been studying wing Chun kung fu at the Schools of Kung Fu since I was four years old. I worked my way through the Little Dragon programme, Junior syllabus where I achieved my second-degree junior black belt. I am currently a second Technician grade. I have been practicing Wing tjun for roughly 18 years. Through my years of training, I have developed a real passion for kung fu and Chinese martial arts, Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan were my childhood idols and one of the things that inspire me about these guys is that hard work gets you your goals.

As I progressed through the adult syllabus, I was lucky enough to be taught by the chief instructor Sifu Alan Paterson. I could see how much he enjoys teaching Wing Chun and I am grateful that he influenced and mentored me to become an instructor with the same enjoyment and pride in teaching Kung Fu to my students as he showed me.

After studying Sports Science at college, I decided to follow my passion in teaching and I would say the main reason I took the opportunity to become an instructor is to help people.

I have also had the privileged of attending many seminars by Sifu Sergio Idarola who is the founder and chief instructor of IWKA and Executive Chief instructor at Schools of Kung Fu.

Becoming an instructor has meant that I am always doing my best to ensure everyone is having fun whilst training hard and I love watching my students grow through their hard work and my leadership.
